About The Position

Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, Inc. seeks a full-time Hospitalist - Internal Medicine based in Rapid City, SD. Responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. The primary duty of the Hospitalist-Internal Medicine is to lead the coordination, quality and efficiency of hospital care for our patients.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree, or foreign equivalent from an accredited medical school.
• 3 years of internal medicine experience.
• Current, unrestricted South Dakota physician license.
• Board certified or Board eligible in Internal Medicine.
• 24 months of experience delivering comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients.
• 24 months of experience managing patients with multiple medical issues.
• 24 months of experience facilitating safe transitioning of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients.
• Lead the coordination, quality, and efficiency of hospital care for patients.
• Manage patients with multiple medical issues, including complex medical conditions and multiple prescriptions.
• Facilitate safe transitioning of patient care within the hospital and from the hospital to the community.
