About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider is primarily responsible for providing patient care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. The Advanced Practice Provider works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. The Advanced Practice Provider is a highly visible position that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, physicians and other visitors he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone. The Advanced Practice Provider is accountable for activities that support meeting St. Elizabeth Physicians' financial goals and objectives. The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible to support all members of the Administrative and Management Teams.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years of APP Acute Care Experience required.
  • APRN or PA degree/certification required.
  • Knowledge of advanced practice including anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and therapeutics.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments used to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
  • Knowledge of health promotions, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of community, professional and education resources.

Nice To Haves

  • Skill in oral and written communication including interviewing to gather medical histories.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records.
  • Skill in case management, time management, problem solving, crisis intervention, multitasking and other organizational matters.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, clinical employees and the public.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team-based decision-making culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently resulting in effective outcomes and on-time performance.

Responsibilities
