About The Position
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Hospital Transport Aide to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Transporters will work with hospital staff in ancillary departments, patient care units and the rehabilitation department to provide safe, courteous, and efficient transport services to all patients within Methodist Hospital inpatient areas. Transporters will perform or assist with the transfers of patient to appropriate mode of transport vehicle. Transporters will use communication and technology to assist in the efficiency of the transport service. Duties require initiative, organizational skills, written and telephone communication skills, base level computer skills, and meeting schedule timelines. MH transporters need to work collaboratively as a team with all care providers and other internal customers. Daily flexibility in work duties is a requirement to support the department in meeting its patient care needs.
