About The Position

Responsibilities Summary: Responsible for the delivery and pick-up of blood components from Memorial Blood Centers' service hospitals and any blood drives. May assist other departments with deliveries that need to be made. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm Job Responsibilities: 1. Supports and promotes Memorial Blood Centers' practices to ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. 2. Ensures correct and timely packaging of blood components and supplies for transport. Provides timely delivery and pick-up as directed by Hospital Services and other departments within the blood center, as schedule permits. 3. Demonstrates complete understanding and complies with established policies and procedures relating to assigned tasks; adheres to safety policies and procedures. 4. Promotes teamwork and communication internally and externally. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance. Demonstrates dependability, punctuality and cooperation. 5. Participates in continuing education training. Attends staff meetings and completes competency testing on time. 6. Maintains vehicles, supplies and required forms and reports. Responsible for maintaining records of all miles driven on a given day/shift. 7. Other duties as assigned. The hourly rate for this position is $19.06/hr. MBC operates 10 donor centers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin and provides blood products, accredited reference lab services, infectious disease testing, and IVF/Reproductive Medicine services to 41 area hospitals. Requirements
