About The Position

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware, is responsible for recovering organs and tissues used in lifesaving and life-enhancing transplants. We are the nation’s leading organ donor program, coordinating more transplants than any other in the country and providing hope and healing to thousands of families each year. This is an exceptional opportunity for a health care professional in the Allentown, Reading, Pottsville—ideally with a background in nursing or a related clinical field— who is eager to partner with hospital staff to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements while maintaining strong relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field, or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience in hospital education, quality/process improvement, or clinical program development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, educate, and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
  • Public speaking, facilitation, or group education experience.
  • Experience preparing presentations, reports, or correspondence for clinical and leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, executive leadership, and bedside caregivers, especially in ICU, OR and emergency department settings.
  • Support practice improvements and outcomes by ensuring donation standards and protocols are understood and consistently applied.
  • Deliver ongoing education to hospital staff, both formally and informally, and foster an environment of shared learning.
  • Facilitate meaningful case debriefings and multidisciplinary discussions that drive process improvement and teamwork.
  • Engage hospital leadership and clinical teams in constructive dialogue using data, outcomes, and shared goals to identify opportunities for growth in the donation process.
  • Develop professional presentations and written correspondence to effectively communicate education, outcomes, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize effective problem-solving skills to address barriers and promote best practices in donation.
  • Organize and coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze hospital-specific data to identify trends and collaborate on strategies for improvement.
  • Navigate complex health care systems and hierarchies to build consensus and foster sustainable change.
  • Think critically, communicate clearly, and balance independent work with teamwork and collaboration.
