The goal of the Supported Employment Hiring Program is to assist candidates with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding competitive employment at Ochsner, while providing the necessary support to ensure their success in the workplace. This job serves as an entry-level role within a 12-month workforce development training program. It involves rotations through various functional support roles to assess the intern’s suitability by the end of the program. Under direct supervision, supports leaders, team members, patients, and visitors through completion of assigned administrative tasks and projects. Participates in team meetings, project-related meetings, staff education and development, and in-service opportunities.
