Daniels Health is looking for a Hospital Service Technician to join our team and help support your assigned hospital with critical medical waste services. This is not a desk job —you’ll be on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day. This is a part-time role working 3 days per week ( Monday, Wednesday, Friday ) - making this a great opportunity to s upplement your income OR enjoy flexibility in your week! This technician will service 3 LOCATIONS! Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between sites: WakeMed Raleigh: 3000 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610 WakeMed North: 10000 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614 WakeMed Cary: 1900 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC 27518 Who are we? Requirements

  • Someone who’s physically fit , comfortable with heavy lifting , and enjoys active, on-the-go work .
  • A team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures .
  • A can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role .

Nice To Haves

  • EVS experience is a benefit but not required!

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
  • Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas—this includes entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
  • Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
  • Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
  • Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
  • Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
  • Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic .
