About The Position

The position involves patrolling the Waterloo Medical Center campus and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Responsibilities include periodically touring buildings and grounds, checking doors, windows, and gates, confronting unauthorized persons for questioning, monitoring improper parking, and escorting personnel as requested. The role adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of MercyOne.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent (GED).
• Prior experience preferred.
• Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrates general working knowledge of computers and department-specific software.
• Intermediate language, basic math, and intermediate reasoning ability.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under adverse situations.
• No serious or aggravated misdemeanor or felony convictions.
• Must submit to background investigation.

• Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to clients, physicians, colleagues, and MercyOne business.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
