About The Position

The position involves patrolling the Waterloo Medical Center campus and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. The individual will periodically tour buildings and grounds, check doors, windows, and gates, confront unauthorized persons for questioning, and monitor improper parking. The role includes escorting personnel as requested and adhering to MercyOne's performance expectations while performing all defined services and related duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of MercyOne.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent (GED).
• Prior experience preferred.
• Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrates general working knowledge of computers and department-specific software.
• Intermediate language skills, basic math, and intermediate reasoning ability.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under adverse situations.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
