Labcorp is seeking a Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join our team in Bristol, TN Work Schedule: The schedule for this position will need varied availability 7 days a week 7:30am - 8:30pm with OT and travel time as business needs demand. LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Bristol, TN. The position, Hospital Reference Test Clerk, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in laboratory or accessioning or production or manufacturing
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

Responsibilities

  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Communicate effectively with client office staff
  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
  • Meet department activity and production goals
  • Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Accurately identify and label specimens
  • Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
  • Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated
  • Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client
