About The Position

The Hospital RCM AR Director oversees cross-functional teams responsible for billing, coding, follow-up, appeals, and denials across multiple client platforms. This role ensures efficient claim resolution, drives performance metrics, supports client goals, and leads system-wide improvements to reduce denials and optimize reimbursement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations
• 3+ years of direct management experience in institutional billing, AR and denials
• Experience with multiple EMRs and clearinghouses (Epic, Paragon, Sunrise, CPSI, etc.)
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage AR operations, including claim submission, follow-up, and appeals workflows
• Lead and mentor supervisors and team leads across remote and offshore teams
• Monitor and analyze denial trends, develop prevention and appeal strategies
• Navigate and optimize multiple client platforms and EMRs
• Collaborate with compliance and coding teams to ensure billing accuracy
• Track and report KPIs such as Days in AR, Denial Rate, and Resolution Turnaround
• Prepare reports for internal leadership and client performance reviews
• Participate in strategic planning, audits, and workflow improvement projects
