About The Position

Provides medication management services in coordination with other health care
professionals to deliver safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication
therapy to patients. Responsibilities may include assessment of medication
therapy regimens, medication therapy management, medication order
verification/entry, medication distribution, medication therapy monitoring, and
consultation, documentation of medication therapy plans, and medication use
education and pharmaceutical care services. Participates in collaborative
practice and/or protocol-driven practice as appropriate. Additionally,
pharmacists are active members in quality improvement, research activities, and
education as described in the job specific competencies.

international stages. Our department’s pharmacy residency has been accredited by
ASHP since 1973. It has grown to become the primary training site for 21
pharmacy residents including 15 various specialty residencies, 12 longitudinal
local pharmacy students, and 9 pharmacy summer interns from around the country.
Our staff also regularly interface with and educate medical trainees including
physician residents and fellows.

This 1.0 FTE pharmacist position supports inpatient neurology and psychiatry
patients at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester, MN. In this
role, the pharmacist will function as a member of the multidisciplinary team
with a greater responsibility within neurology and neurosurgery areas. The
schedule consists of a mix of day and evening shifts and every 3rd weekend
rotational model.
