About The Position

Duties include but not limited to: provide call center support for PM&R Therapy Department. Primary responsibilities include: pre-register accounts in Epic, scheduling appointments in Medilinks; monitoring of all schedules throughout the day to backfill cancellations and add extra visits as requested by therapists as they happen; managing all incoming patient referrals from phone, fax and computer systems and process within 48 hours. Other clerical duties assigned as needed. Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are necessary. Computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology and prior medical office or call center experience desired. Minimum Qualifications: The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the H iring for E mergency L imited P lacement ( HELP ) Program, Effective April 5th, 2023 . During this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1, SG07 title. For consideration for this title, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications: Work Days: Schedule based on 40 hour work week.
