Hospital Medicine Nocturnist - Full-Time — NP/PA

We invite Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and visionaries together on our Hospital Medicine team at Atrium Health in Shelby (Cleveland), North Carolina. The Carolinas Hospitalist Group is looking for an APP to join the Hospitalist team at our Cleveland location. Specialty care APPs provide concentrated services within Hospital Medicine, delivering comprehensive care to acute and chronically ill adult inpatients during overnight coverage. The APP collaborates closely within a multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care while exercising sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The role also includes advocating for the patient population served and participating in departmental or practice initiatives and meetings as requested. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NP (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) or PA program
- Current license to practice as NP or PA in North Carolina
- Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license
- BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) — must be valid at least 90 days beyond start date
Responsibilities
- performing initial and ongoing medical histories and physical examinations
- completing daily clinical assessments

- ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic studies
