Hospital Medicine Nocturnist - Full-Time — NP/PA

The Carolinas Hospitalist Group is looking for an APP to join the Hospitalist team at our Cleveland location. Position Details • Full-time Nocturnist schedule: 6:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. • 100% inpatient adult medicine
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NP (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) or PA program
- Current license to practice as NP or PA in North Carolina
- Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license
- BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) — must be valid at least 90 days beyond start date
Responsibilities
- performing initial and ongoing medical histories and physical examinations
- completing daily clinical assessments
- documenting findings and plans of care in the medical record
- ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic studies
- determining treatment plans
- writing prescriptions
- administering medications
- performing minor procedures as appropriate
- collaborates closely within a multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care while exercising sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- advocating for the patient population served
- participating in departmental or practice initiatives and meetings as requested
