Minimum of 2 years of experiencein a management position. Job Summary The Veterinary Hospital Manager is responsible for the overall operational leadership of the hospital. This role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning, supports clinical teams, manages administrative staff, and drives strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, profitability, and employee engagement. We are looking for an experienced positive visionary leader who can lead a large team of professionals and has the ability to be an agile change agent. Must love working with people. Operational Leadership Oversee daily hospital operations Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, OSHA standards, and hospital protocols Monitor and maintain inventory, equipment, and facility needs Financial Management Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports Analyze KPIs and implement strategies to improve revenue and cost control Collaborate with accounting and finance teams on billing, payroll, and vendor contracts Meet financial expectations and goals Human Resources Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier veterinary and support staff Manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Client Experience Ensure exceptional customer service and client communication Address escalated client concerns and feedback professionally Support marketing and community outreach initiatives Strategic Planning Partner with medical leadership to align operational goals with clinical excellence Lead hospital growth initiatives, including service expansion and facility upgrades Implement technology and process improvements to enhance workflow Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred Certified Veterinary Practice Manager Certification is a plus Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in veterinary or hospital administration Strong financial acumen and HR people skills Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with veterinary software is a plus Other Skills Ability to inspire and guide diverse teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. Resilient and growth mindset Skilled in long-term planning, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning operational goals with clinical excellence. Calm under pressure with the ability to make sound decisions quickly, especially in emergency situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external and internal partners. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.
