About The Position

Position Summary: Performs specimen processing and accessioning in the Central Processing area of the main lab. Main duties include computer data entry, telephone reception, transporting specimens and printing /delivering lab reports. Review lab reports and performs quality review and troubleshooting. Assist in equipment maintenance/troubleshooting, inventory management and performs all clerical functions including but not limited to data entry, maintaining records, answering phones, and providing results.

Requirements

One year clinical laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must be willing to provide weekend and holiday coverage on a rotational basis and variable shift assignment(s) as needed
Good communication skills
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

Minimum 16 units of applicable Science (such as Chemistry, Biology) and Algebra at the college level
Good computer skills including knowledge of various software applications
