About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Key Account Executive (KAE) to join our team in supporting the Baltimore, MD; Southern Maryland and Washington, DC areas. Job Responsibilities Develops and executes strategic account plans for assigned hospital and healthcare system accounts. Cultivates strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, physicians, laboratory directors, and purchasing managers. Meets and exceeds sales targets by identifying opportunities to upsell LabCorp's testing services and solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to develops tailored proposals and solutions that address the unique needs of each customer. Stays abreast of market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes affecting the healthcare industry. Leverages market insights to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making. Serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations. Acts as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on LabCorp's capabilities, test offerings, and industry best practices. Collaborates closely with internal teams, including sales operations, marketing, customer service, and laboratory operations, to ensure seamless execution of account strategies and deliver exceptional customer service. Negotiates pricing, contracts, and service agreements with hospital and healthcare system accounts. Ensures that all agreements are aligned with company objectives and comply with regulatory requirements. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of account strategies and identifies areas for improvement. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration/ Management, or Finance/Accounting
  • 3 years or more of experience in healthcare sales, account management, or business development, with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.com, using tools to increase reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including hospital operations, reimbursement dynamics, and regulatory landscape
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract management and pricing strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable plans
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
