The position involves supporting academic instruction for students who are unable to attend school due to health or psychological reasons. The role requires participation in General Education Homebound (GEH) meetings or ARD committee meetings for assigned students, demonstrating knowledge of and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans. The individual will collaborate with the teacher of record to provide instruction tailored to the cognitive, effective, and physical abilities of each student, considering their medical and psychological conditions. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to effectively serve multiple campuses while managing frequent schedule changes. The position also requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to work independently with students, staff, and parents. The individual will develop instructional flow from the teacher of record to the student, facilitate instructional activities, utilize technology for instruction, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with program requirements. Regular attendance at the worksite is mandatory, and the role involves providing instructional support in the student's home, acknowledging the inherent risks involved.
