About The Position

The Cook must be able to perform a variety of functions and tasks pertinent to the production, service, and distribution of foods to patients, employees, and catered services at the specified times. The Cook will maintain high quality standards in all aspects of production and service. Come Join the Food Services Team at Community First Medical Center Full Time Days 6:00am-2:30pm with rotating weekends/holidays ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensures that proper food service is provided correctly to patients and employees utilizing patient menus, portion charts, and proper serving utensils. Replenishes supplies in work area throughout the shift and resets stations for next shift. 2. Prepares and serves food in a safe and sanitary manner ensuring all safety and sanitation procedures are followed in accordance with HACCP principles. 3. Follows established policies and procedures for all aspects of the job being performed. Follows the assigned cleaning procedures and cleaning schedules. 4. Demonstrates an ability to work effectively with peers, supervisors and managers as a member of the team and establishes collaborative and supportive relationships. Cross trains in various food service worker positions and assists in the proper training and orientation of new staff. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be knowledgeable of how to operate all equipment found in a kitchen.
  • Fast Order grill cooking required
  • City of Chicago certification required for Chicago locations.
  • Illinois Department of Public Health Food Service Sanitation Certification required within 3 months of hire.
