About The Position

Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a part time Food Service Worker to join our team. At Canyon Ridge Hospital we understand that not all wounds are visible. Our mission is to be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community. Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults. Our Food Service Workers are responsible for Preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring that all meals are nutritious and meet the specific dietary needs of patients. Working closely with dietitians, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of patients. While Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, addressing any special requests or dietary restrictions with care and professionalism. Requirements

  • Food handlers permit required. (San Bernardino County)
  • Must be skilled in a range of cooking methods, including baking, grilling, sautéing, and steaming.
  • Ability to create and modify recipes to meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively to ensure all dishes are prepared and served promptly.
  • Must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products.
  • Ability to read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments.
  • Must adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions.
  • Must be able to adjust recipes to achieve desired results.
  • Must have ability to perform several tasks concurrently.
  • Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.

Responsibilities
