About The Position

A leading healthcare organization in Palm Beach County is seeking a Food Service Associate to join its hospital nutrition services team. This role is essential in supporting patient care by ensuring accurate meal selections, maintaining dietary standards, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and clinical staff. No prior hospital experience is required—training will be provided—but previous food service or hospitality experience is highly valued.

Requirements

1 year of hospital food service experience
ServSafe certification
Knowledge of healthcare standard diets

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff.
Visit patient rooms to obtain menu selections while ensuring diet and tray accuracy.
Ensure meals are prepared and delivered accurately and on time.
Clean and maintain assigned work areas, including sweeping, mopping, and refrigerator cleaning.
Restock food and non-food supplies as needed in designated work areas.
Deliver snacks and supplies to patient care units.
Record daily temperatures for food items, refrigerators, and freezers.
Support dish room, trayline, pots & pans area, and other functions as needed.
May deliver food trays directly to patient rooms.
Maintain cleanliness in serving and dining areas, including sweeping and mopping.
Participate in cross-training to support other roles within the department.
