About The Position
We are seeking a Hospital Dishwasher , sometimes referred to as a Dish Room Attendant or Hospital Sanitation Worker . The Hospital Dishwasher ensures all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. They support food service operations by organizing clean items, assisting with meal preparation, and following strict hospital sanitation and infection control standards. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed . Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred. County Specific requirement.
- County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washes large pots, pans, and utensils
- Clean and sanitize counters, tables, and equipment while maintaining hygienic work areas
- Sort and store clean dishes, trays, and utensils in proper locations for upcoming meal services
- Assist food service staff with assembling meal trays, setting up cafeteria lines, and transporting carts
- Dispose of food waste, recyclables, and trash according to hospital safety and sanitation rules
