Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, health sciences, marketing, business or related field preferred, OR
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years's experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales, healthcare marketing or education; OR
  • Four years of professional work experience within an organ procurement organization (OPO) specific to donor program development and relationships
  • Must possess exceptional communications, critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills required.
  • Employees in this position:Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'frequent driver'NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.

Responsibilities

  • Provides donor education to nursing and medical staff in LifeQuest's partner hospitals
  • Completes retrospective chart reviews to assess organ donor potential on critical care deaths
  • Reviews all donor activity and variances with the clinical operations staff in order to improve quality of services provided to donor families and partner hospitals
  • Assists our partner hospitals with contracts and donor policies to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (JC), Association of Health Care Administration (ACHA) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Develops excellent working relationships with hospital administrators, physicians and nursing staff who are involved with the organ donor process
