About The Position

The Controller – Harding Hospital, Dodd Hospital and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health (“Controller”) is a strategic partner in support of the academic medical center’s tripartite mission, supporting Harding Hospital (“Harding”), Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital (“Dodd”) and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health (“Psychiatry”). The Controller is responsible for leading the finance business partner function that provides strategic consultation, coordination, and leadership on financial and operational matters to operational leaders throughout Harding, Dodd and Psychiatry, inclusive of the clinical, research and educational missions. Specifically, the Controller: Provides finance strategy for Harding, Dodd and Psychiatry including opportunities to grow the missions and deliver greater value. Provides finance officer functions for Harding, Dodd and Psychiatry including monthly financial reporting and annual budget preparation. Leads the business analytics/decision support infrastructure that provides a coordinated resource for business planning, strategic planning, and monitoring/ROI functions. · Oversees business operations by providing insights and support into the clinical operations areas of Harding, Dodd and Psychiatry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a finance role in a health care environment.
  • Meets mandatory educational and health requirements.
  • Demonstrates competence in essential job functions.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with all University, Medical Center, Colleges, departments and individuals providing facilities and support services to the OSUWMC.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree is desirable.
