Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Hospital Perioperative Assistant is responsible for supporting the patient care functions by stocking, cleaning, and set-up of operating rooms and substerile rooms; maintaining appropriate supply inventory levels; and assuring that equipment is available and in good condition when needed. In addition, assists with the transportation of patients, specimens, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with various pieces of clinical equipment and supplies
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care OR setting
  • Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a hospital assistant
