Position Summary: Performs specimen processing and accessioning in the Central Processing area of the Main Lab. Main duties include: * Computer data entry * Telephone reception * Transporting specimens * Printing/delivering lab reports * Reviewing lab reports and performing quality review and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • One year of applicable clinical lab work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
  • Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
