Responsibilities: Coordinates or manages inpatient and outpatient admissions, including bed assignments and the completion of preliminary paperwork for patients entering the hospital. Verifies insurance benefits assigned to the hospital to determine if coverage meets the standards of hospital admission. Coordinates admissions with medical, nursing and accounting staff to ensure appropriate placement of patients and compliance with third-party payers and applicable regulations. Provides guidance to others and focuses on more complex assignments.
