Key Responsibilities:- Strategic & Operational Leadership Serve as the hospital’s operational leader, translating strategic priorities into day-to-day execution Partner closely with the Clinical Director and VetnCare operations leadership to set annual hospital priorities Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations Support operational readiness and stability as VetnCare expands within the local market Financial & Business Management Own the full P&L performance of the hospital Drive revenue growth, cost management, forecasting, and labor optimization Lead inventory management, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and capital planning Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through KPI analysis and regular performance reviews People Leadership & Development Lead and develop hospital teams, in partnership with the Clinical Director Build a strong bench through hiring, coaching, and succession planning Drive accountability through clear expectations, performance management, and real-time feedback Foster a culture that prioritizes teamwork, psychological safety, and service excellence Client & Community Engagement Ensure an exceptional client experience across every touchpoint Implement initiatives that enhance client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention Represent the hospital within the local community and referral networks Change Leadership & Growth Introduce systems, workflows, and technologies that improve operational efficiency Lead process improvements and organizational initiatives within the hospital Support the integration and operational development of additional hospitals in the Oakland market as VetnCare grows Help implement new medical offerings, service models, and hospital programs What We’re Looking For Significant leadership experience in healthcare, veterinary medicine, medical practice management, or related industries Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong business and financial acumen, including P&L oversight and operational performance management A people-centric leader who values communication, collaboration, and accountability Track record of navigating change, building culture, and stabilizing operations Excellent judgment, resilience, and the ability to solve complex problems quickly Why Join VetnCare Opportunity to lead and grow hospitals within a rapidly expanding veterinary organization Partner with Clinical Directors and experienced operations leaders Be part of a collaborative veterinary community focused on excellent medicine and exceptional client experience Play a key role in shaping the future of veterinary care in your local market
