About The Position

UHS is currently recruiting for our Hospital Administrator Program at South Texas Health System Heart (McAllen, TX). McAllen Heart Hospital was the first freestanding cardiology and cardiovascular hospital built in the United States and is dedicated solely to heart-related medical needs for patients, including diagnosis and treatment, emergency heart care, heart catheterization, heart surgery and education. The Hospital is a full Cycle II Chest Pain Center accredited with PCI, as well as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. The 60-bed hospital opened in January 1996 providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care, and a 24-hour Emergency Center. The selected candidate will provide day-to-day operations for various hospital departments and be assigned projects to further the strategy of the Hospitals. He/she will implement the strategy of the CEO and COO and will manage their assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize the quality of services and the profits of the hospital. The individual will also be enrolled in our corporate Leadership Development classes to further their development as a junior executive and prepare the individual to become a COO within UHS.

Requirements

• Master's degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).
• Hospital management experience at a mid level (3-7 years).
• Acute Care Hospital Experience required.
• Must be open to Relocation.
• Strong Project Management experience.
• Strong critical thinking skillset.

Nice To Haves

• Administrative Residency or Fellowship a plus.
