Requirements
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dependable
- Comfortable with hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Emotional readiness to support patients and families
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Related experience or volunteer work preferred
- Note: It is recommended that applicants have not experienced the loss of an immediate family member within the past year.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Offer respite and support to families and caregivers
- Engage patients through conversation, reading, or presence
- Communicate observations to the care team as appropriate
