About The Position

At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice our goal is to change the expectation of hospice care in your area by providing exceptional care and service to our patients. This is achieved by allocating the resources to increase our staff to patient ratios, thereby increasing clinical visits while lowering clinician caseloads. We are proud to be a Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) certified hospice. If you have a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to patients and their families, we would like to hear from you A hospice volunteer is an individual trained by Brighton/Suncrest Hospice to assist patients, their families, and the hospice team. You don't need any prior medical experience. You can help fulfill the promise of hospice in many ways to our patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Ability to complete the following tasks: Visit with the patient wherever they live (e.g., at home, an assisted living or skilled nursing facility) Assist with letter writing or other projects Read to the patient or join them in watching a favorite TV program Play games with the patient or family Take the patient outside or for a walk Assist with clerical tasks Assist with the bereavement program Community outreach
