Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required (college coursework or degree preferred).
2+ years of experience in hospice, healthcare, or volunteer program leadership.
Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with compassion and professionalism.
Flexible schedule and reliable transportation (valid driver's license and insurance required).
Physical capability to meet the role's demands (lift up to 50-100 lbs as needed).

Responsibilities

Lead volunteer engagement efforts that uphold Elara Caring's mission and hospice standards.
Strategically recruit, train, and mentor volunteers who bring comfort and companionship to patients and families.
Maintain volunteer compliance, hours tracking, and documentation to meet CMS and organizational standards.
Partner with the interdisciplinary hospice team to align volunteer placements with patient and family needs.
Inspire and support volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and equipped for meaningful service.
