Brookings Health System is seeking a Social Worker to join our team! Compensation range for this position is $22.93 to 33.95 for BSW, depending on experience or $28.01 to $41.47 for MSW, depending on experience. This position will work approximately 30 hours per week and is benefit eligible. This part time Social Worker position is responsible for psycho-social assessment and plan of care, psycho-social interventions and is a member of the interdisciplinary hospice team. Will also maintain open communication and provide consultation among families, patients, tenants, social services designee, hospital discharge planner, and nursing staff. Responsible for performing assessments that pertain to suicidal ideation, abuse and neglect, safety, ability to live independently, and mental health. In addition, this position includes coordinating the hospice bereavement program, as well as serving as hospice volunteer coordinator. Requirements

  • Holds a bachelor (or related field) or master's degree, at a minimum, in social work
  • Supportive of the Hospice concept and demonstrates understanding of the needs of the terminally ill person, family and significant others
