About The Position

This position is recruiting for a FT Social Worker (LMSW) in the El Campo, Texas service area. About Us: At Houston Hospice, we believe that the heart of our organization are the people who work here. Since 1980, we’ve grown to become the oldest and largest independent nonprofit hospice in the Greater Houston area. What truly defines us is our commitment to walking alongside patients and their families during some of life’s most tender moments. Our mission is simple: to provide uncompromising, compassionate, end-of-life care to patients of all ages and their families. Serving the 13 counties that surround the Houston area, we are committed to being the highest quality hospice provider wherever we serve. We focus on caring, not curing. Our approach is grounded in teamwork and trust by bringing together skilled healthcare professionals who all share a common purpose: to bring those on our service comfort, dignity, and peace. Whether care is provided in a family’s home, in a long-term care facility, or in our IPU in the Texas Medical Center, our team is dedicated to meeting patients where they are, both physically and emotionally. Our doctors and nurses are experts in easing pain and managing complex symptoms of life-limiting illnesses. The work we do allows our patients and families to focus on what matters most: being together. As a Hospice LMSW, you’ll walk alongside families as they navigate the uncertainty that sometimes comes with end-of-life decisions. In addition to psychosocial assessments, you’ll help patients and their families make sense of difficult decisions, connect them with the resources they need, and create a space where they feel heard, understood, and never alone. You’ll be the person who helps out on the hardest days. But you won’t do this work alone. If you joined our team, you’d be part of a deeply compassionate team comprised of Nurses, Physicians, Chaplains, Hospice Aides, Bereavement Counselors, and Volunteers who understand the value of empathy and human connection. Here, your voice matters. Your presence matters. And the comfort you bring makes a real difference. Every single day. If you’re an LMSW who finds purpose in helping families feel supported and seen, who believes in dignity at every stage of life, and who wants to be part of a mission rooted in compassion, we’d be honored to welcome you to our team.
