About The Position

The Hospice Account Executive at Heart of Hospice in Lafayette, LA, is responsible for executing the sales strategy to increase market share through account development and educating the medical community on hospice services. This role emphasizes building relationships with referral sources, understanding customer needs, and promoting the company's services to enhance patient care at the end of life.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of prior successful Hospice sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a variety of individuals.
  • Creative thinking and idea generation related to marketing and community education.
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license and independent means of transportation.
  • Understanding of home health/hospice coverage issues.
  • Ability to maximize cost-effectiveness in resource use.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the sales strategy to increase company market share through account development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with target referral sources to support growth strategy.
  • Implement, manage, and document consistent sales activities with multiple contacts in each referral source.
  • Understand customer needs to provide customized solutions and earn referrals.
  • Expand the healthcare community's use of services by promoting knowledge and awareness of solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between referral sources, patients, and agencies.
  • Participate in strategic planning and problem-solving related to marketing growth strategies.
  • Achieve admission goals and expectations as established at hire or during annual reviews.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide updates on accounts and customer needs.
  • Coordinate in-services with community and medical groups to educate them on hospice services.
  • Complete sales administration duties including CRM compliance and expense reports.
