About The Position
Mountain Valley Hospice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a defined, short-term hospice assignment. This role is ideal for an RN who wants meaningful work with a predictable weekday schedule—without weekends, on-call, or a long-term commitment. Position Highlights $50/hour (non-benefited) Monday–Friday only No weekends. No on-call. Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile 8-week commitment with clear expectations Supportive interdisciplinary team and established workflows
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Organized, dependable, and patient-centered
Nice To Haves
- Hospice or home health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage a hospice caseload and provide direct patient care
- Complete comprehensive assessments and ongoing care planning
- Provide symptom management, medication administration, and wound care
- Educate patients and families on disease progression and care needs
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and the hospice team
- Complete timely, accurate electronic documentation
