Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice
- Must possess current CPR Certification
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients family members visitors agency personnel and the general public
- Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of Hospice experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform pre admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services
- Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patientsfamilies of its services
- Obtains informed consent
- Provides nursing assessment initial plan of care and interventions that optimize patient and family directed comfort and quality of life
