Requirements

  • Accredited nursing school graduate.
  • Valid CO RN license.
  • At least one year in medical, surgical, or critical care nursing.
  • Strong clinical assessment capability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management.
  • Computer proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospice or oncology.
  • Understanding of death/dying and bereavement processes.
  • CHPN certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hospice nursing care.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments.
  • Plan and implement effective care.
  • Manage pain and symptoms.
  • Ensure patient safety.
  • Facilitate care environment transitions.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
