About The Position
Hospice of Southern Maine is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse (RN) to work at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. Per Diems must be able to work day and night shifts (7a-7:30p and 7p-7:30a). The RN is responsible to provide quality, cost effective hospice nursing care, within an interdisciplinary team, in a competent holistic manner for an assigned group of patients in the hospice house, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care; to empower patients and families to achieve maximum levels of comfort and independence.
Requirements
- Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Maine.
- BLS certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment required.
- Certification must be kept active during the course of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred.
- One year of oncology, acute care, hospice and/or home care nursing preferred.
