About The Position

Inspire Hospice Gainesville is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Hospice Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Gainesville, GA. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered hospice care to terminally ill patients and supporting their families through the end-of-life journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to palliative care and be skilled in symptom management, patient assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with Hospice and Palliative Care experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in hospice, palliative care, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with Hospice and Palliative Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of hospice patients and develop individualized care plans.
  • Manage and monitor symptoms to provide comfort and improve quality of life.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with hospice care protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains.
  • Educate patients and families on illness progression, symptom management, and end-of-life care decisions.
  • Participate in family meetings and provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide after-hours support on a rotating basis as needed, consistent with full-time responsibilities.
