Summary: The Hospice Nurse Practitioner collaborates routinely with inpatient facility staff and the Hospice Physician.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of NC.
- Nationally Certified Nurse Practitioner (geriatric, adult, family) currently approved to practice in the state of NC
- MSN preferred.
- Previous experience working with terminally ill patients preferred.
- Maintain current CPR.
Responsibilities
- Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
- Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers that will meet their expectations.
- Provide attending services to patients admitted to the facility as needed.
- Provide attending services for patients in the home hospice program as needed
- Assists agency with achieving positive patient outcomes
- Documents in the medical record electronically and completes documents and attestation statements as outlined by the Conditions of Participation.
