About The Position

EvergreenHealth is currently recruiting a per diem (0.0 FTE) Hospice Physician to join our exceptional and growing Hospice Care Team at EvergreenHealth Hospice Care Center in Kirkland, WA. Join a dynamic group of Hospice providers in a Seattle-area healthcare system widely recognized as a national leader in end-of-life care. EvergreenHealth Hospice Care Center is a freestanding inpatient facility with a home hospice program (average daily census of 500+ patients).

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid medical license in Washington State.
• Experience in hospice or palliative care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Board certification in hospice and palliative medicine.
• Experience in an inpatient hospice setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs hospice admission visits.
• Responds to calls regarding care of hospice patients and participates in hospice medical provider call rotation.
• Evaluate patient eligibility for hospice services upon referral and throughout patient's hospice enrollment.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team and hospice medical provider meetings.
• Participates in and provides staff education and support regarding end-of-life care.
• Performs other duties as indicated.
