About The Position

The Hospice Inpatient Concierge at Serenity Hospice is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families in the RWJ Inpatient Unit. This role focuses on fostering a calm and supportive environment while managing various administrative tasks and facilitating communication between patients, staff, and family members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospitality experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
• Understanding of hospitality standards and company policies.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and their visitors.
• Perform basic administration duties as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Manage in-hospital errands to assist patients and their families.
• Arrange tours of Serenity Hospice in-patient unit.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with arranging services such as massage, music, or volunteer services.
• Relay information, including communication and complaints, to the in-patient supervisor.
• Manage client and guest requests for housekeeping and/or maintenance.
• Serve as the area guide for attractions, shopping, restaurants, and recreation options.
• Manage relationships with patients, vendors, and internal departments.
• Record messages and report them to appropriate parties.
• Represent Serenity Hospice with integrity and dedication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
