About The Position

The Hospice House Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate and comprehensive care to terminally ill patients and their families in a Hospice House setting. The RN, under the supervision of the Hospice House Nurse Manager, plays a vital role in identifying patient and family needs and coordinating services to deliver preventive and supportive care. The RN also oversees the work of LPNs, CNAs, and volunteers in the Hospice House. Additionally, the RN demonstrates a commitment to the philosophy, goals, and objectives of hospice care by utilizing teaching, assessment, and intervention skills to enhance the quality of life for patients and families.

Requirements

  • Current Washington State license as a professional registered nurse
  • Availability for day, night, and weekend shifts as needed and as scheduled by the supervisor.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s service areas to provide in-home patient and family services and support in clients' homes, facilities, and community locations.
  • This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
  • Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)
  • Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health
  • Ability to report to the assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
