About The Position

Position Overview The Hospice House Aide provides compassionate care and support to patients and families in a home-like inpatient setting. This role combines personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and general assistance to ensure comfort, safety, and dignity for those we serve.

Requirements

• Current California Department of Public Health Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in an acute-care setting.
• Experience in hospice or home health.
• CHPNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care as directed by nursing staff.
• Document care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Prepare and serve meals following food safety standards (ServSafe certification required).
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, common areas, and kitchen; perform laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Run errands, manage petty cash, and provide general support such as answering phones and greeting visitors.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
