About The Position

Our Hospice team has immediate openings for a part time Evening/Night Nurses to provide end of life care to patients in Montgomery County every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday on call from 5pm to 8:30am each night. Responsibilities: Provide routine and emergency care visits to patients as assigned and triaged by on call service Make phone calls to assigned patients to triage symptoms Provides follow up phone calls to assess efficacy of recommended treatments Carries out full admissions when needed Provide visits to confirm absence of vital signs unless families decline visits The Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) has been helping people across the Washington metropolitan area meet emotional, social, and physical challenges for more than 120 years. Requirements

  • An active RN license to practice in the State of Maryland
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care and/or hospice experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide meaningful care to communicate with the terminally ill.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office 365 and EMR systems skills. HCHB knowledge preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable, independent transportation to provide care to hospice patients around Montgomery County.
