Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN or BSN license in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in hospice
  • At least 3 years of hospice or home health experience managing caregivers
  • CPR certification
  • Extensive knowledge of state/federal home health and hospice laws and regulatory standards
  • Excellent management, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of hospice care to patients and their families, ensuring the highest quality of care in accordance with home health and hospice regulations and standards
  • Ensure hospice staff levels are sufficient to meet the needs of patients and families
  • Recruit, hire, orient, train and oversee hospice staff providing patient and family care
  • Assist Hospice Administrator in the preparation and management of budgets and financial reports
  • Evaluate patient care and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies, equipment and medication to meet patient needs
