About The Position

The Hospice Community Relations Director serves as a vital liaison between the hospice organization and the community, focusing on understanding and addressing community and customer needs. This role is essential for the development and promotion of hospice programs and services, ensuring that they align with the highest standards of quality health care. The director will work to maximize the use of human, financial, and equipment resources to enhance service delivery. In this position, the director will provide counsel to the hospice regarding the community's needs, which includes program development that addresses personnel and financial requirements. The role requires collaborative development and maintenance of policies specific to new programs, ensuring that all initiatives comply with local, state, and federal laws related to hospice marketing. The director will also assist in directing programs by collaborating with and delegating responsibilities to administrative and supervisory personnel. A key aspect of this role is to partner with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team to support safe and effective patient and family care. The director will establish a public relations program to interpret the hospice's services and foster positive relationships with physicians and community agencies. Additionally, the director will carry out other duties as assigned by the Governing Body, contributing to the overall mission and vision of the hospice organization.
