Hospice Chaplain – Walk with Purpose at Life’s Most Sacred Crossroads Full-Time (Preferred) | Part-Time Considered Tucson, AZ & Surrounding Communities This isn’t just a position—it’s a calling. At Dependable Hospice & Palliative Care , we walk beside patients and families through one of life’s most sacred journeys. We are seeking a Hospice Chaplain who brings deep compassion, spiritual grounding, and an open-hearted presence to those navigating end-of-life care. While this role is full-time preferred , we are open to part-time candidates who feel called to this work. When moments matter most, your voice, your calm, and your care will make all the difference. Your Role in Our Mission You will serve as a steady and compassionate presence, helping patients and families find meaning, peace, and closure in life’s final chapter. Through listening, prayer, reflection, and presence, you will help bring dignity and comfort during life’s most tender moments.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of chaplaincy experience (hospice experience preferred)
- Familiarity with Medicare hospice spiritual care guidelines
- Training or experience in grief, loss, and end-of-life counseling
- Deep compassion and respect for diverse spiritual perspectives
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Spanish fluency a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized spiritual assessments based on each patient’s beliefs and values
- Provide spiritual and grief counseling to patients, caregivers, and loved ones
- Support individuals across diverse faith traditions with respect and sensitivity
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
- Document services in compliance with hospice and Medicare standards
- Offer bereavement support and continued guidance to families
